What makes OGE so special is that it is a wooded private rental property in the middle of a National Forest, with a gentle slope to a sugar sand beach swimming area that is tucked into a protected cove from the main lake, featuring a ranch style home with an open floor plan that includes all bedrooms and bathrooms on 1st floor allowing your extended family from the youngest to the oldest to gather together under one roof and make memories that will last a lifetime!

OGE is a June thru September seasonal lakefront vacation rental home, that has been registered, inspected, and licensed with the state of Wisconsin since 2007.  Inspections include an annual safe water test and an annual on-site inspection of the home and grounds by a state licensed inspector for cleanliness, sanitation, and safety according to state mandated rental guidelines.  At OGE, we take sanitation/cleaning of the home seriously, as we employ a professional cleaning service that thoroughly cleans/sanitizes the home and porch down to the door handles and light switches prior to every arriving rental; we also utilize a laundry service for the cleaning of all bed linens!  But don't just take our word for it; take the time to read some of our 70+ highest rated Five Star guest reviews including reviews from 2023!!  Click on REVIEWS Tab.

OGE is located on the quiet waters of Lost Land Lake- A Class-A musky lake in the middle of the Chequamegon National Forest surrounded by nature to include soaring Bald Eagles, loons, deer, fox, squirrels, otters...- you get the picture.  The property is just 16 miles East of Hayward, WI on Hwy 77 (The Great Scenic Byway) then 8 miles north on Upper “A” to Lost Land Lake.  Nostalgic Hayward is noted for its’ charming shops, National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame, numerous festivals, and attractions.  Check out Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce link for more information.  There is also a full-service convenience/bait and tackle store on Upper A for those last-minute shopping needs including fishing licenses, tackle, groceries, or souvenirs.  Also nearby are several supper clubs, golf courses, horseback riding and more.

 

Our upscale ranch style four bedroom, three bath lakehome with screened in porch sits just 50 feet back from 183 feet of sugar sand beach and weed free swimming.   Tucked inside Green Point on Wilson Bay with a West facing view for spectacular sunsets and stargazing; Lost Land Lake is a 1304-acre gem connected by thoroughfare to 1049-acre Teal Lake; they are the “Quiet Lakes” - click on link.  Referred to as the “Quiet Lakes because there is a 10mph speed limit, no wake within 100’ of the shoreline, and motor sports are not allowed- to include no water-skiing, jet-skiing, or tubing.

So, whether you are an avid fisherman looking to fish for musky, northern pike, walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bluegill, or perch (they are all here!), nature lover, sailboat, canoe, kayak, or a stand-up paddle board enthusiast, or you just want to unwind with family, it's all waiting for you… not just outside, but inside as well.  It is our desire that you experience the peace and quiet of lake living during your stay while having all the comforts of home. The house is 1½ stories with all rooms on one level with the exception of a bedroom loft that overlooks the Great Room with its two-story river rock fireplace, and a finished full-service laundry room located in the basement.  The open-floor plan is conducive to entertaining, socializing, and special needs guests; with views of the lake from almost every room.  In fact, there are so many windows and doors on the South, East, and West lakeside facing walls of the home that you will always feel a part of what is going on outside.

The gourmet kitchen has all the expected conveniences and much more, including stainless appliances and a large center island with seating for four.  An adjacent dining area features a large table with seating for up to ten, and there are four good size bedrooms - two with en-suite bathrooms, and a third bathroom between two bedrooms.
